Thank goodness after the winter we had we finally get a taste of summer... ahhhh.. But in true in New England fashion, we are complaining.... it's too hot, it's too humid, it's too sticky, we never had spring, etc, etc. I say put on your walking shoes or the a/c and enjoy it while you can, winter is just around the corner. There is always a breeze on the waterfront, go there!!
Speaking of waterfront, big happenings for music lovers this summer.... The concerts on the waterfront are back and started this past week.
- Every Wednesday night through 8/28 Project Arts will have waterfront concerts with 2 very special events. July 13 - Harbor Roots & Folk Festival 10am-7pm and August 10 - Plymouth Harborfest to benefit MDA 9am-6pm. For a complete listing of the bands and times check out their website (www.projectarts.com) . New this year in case of rain New World Tavern will be hosting the bands at their pub at 56 Main Street. New World Tavern (www.thenewworldtavern.com) is a cool spot to go, 32 beers on tap over 100 bottled and some of the best apps, try their new world pizza YUM, but watch out for their Jamaican Jerk wings...ouch!
- Friday nights and several Saturday evenings throughout the summer on Hedge House Lawn and on the waterfront Acoustic Nights and Jam Fest check their website for further details, band line up and times. (www.brewsterproductions.com).
- Every night there is music playing, people dancing under the stars on the waterfront, or in the many clubs on Main Street. Someone said, but I haven't confirmed it yet, I'm working on it but I get to about 4 and can't go any further, that there are approximately 26 places to wet your whistle between Water and Samoset Streets....yikes!
There is so much going on in town it's too much to list here, so I suggest you go to several of the Plymouth MA sites and find out. Check several as some of the sites are a "pay to play" site and won't list everything going on and we don't want you to miss anything!!
