It's Winter Here in America's Hometown!

So much has happened since I last blogged.... The Thanksgiving Parade was a huge success largely due to the weather; it was perfect. Just enough chill in the air, so you know it's Thanksgiving time, yet not to bitterly cold. The bands were great, Tops In Blue were fantastic. Everyone enjoyed themselves. It's starting to quiet down now, some restaurants are closing for the season, the main attractions, i.e. Plimoth Plantation, Capt. John's Whale Watching and the Jenney Grist Mill have also closed for the season. But still open and open all year long is the Dead Of Night Ghost Tours, a hauntingly fun walking tour through graveyards and historic places in Plymouth. The stores are all abuzz with frantic Christmas shoppers. All kinds of holiday celebrations are going on, house tours, wine tastings, tree lightings, santa breakfasts, Christmas story readings... really too many to mention them all. It's like a Dickens card come to life. January will bring lots of birding groups and star gazing groups, see http://www.seeplymouth.com/ for more information. Also, at the Comfort Inn we will be having special packages, including a Romance Spa Package and a Shop, Play and Stay Package, for all of you who want to cash in on the after-holiday sales! I'll try to post more often.. have a great day and a wonderful holiday season.
